- what: The authors investigated the expression of PeVDE under different light intensities and found that PeVDE was upregulated with the increase in light intensity. In the present study, histochemical staining of npq1 mutant leaves showed that the overexpression of PeVDE could reduce the accumulation of O2. - and H2 O2 under high light intensity stress, probably because NPQ could dissipate . . .
