    Accordingly, Large-scale clinical trials (Lansberg et_al, 2012; Goyal et_al, 2016; Desai et_al, 2018) and medical practitioners (Powers et_al, 2018) use patients` core and penumbral tissue volumes to determine whether the potential tissue salvage associated with the use of a therapeutic device justifies the cost and potential risks of treatment.
