• What: The authors aimed to determine whether urine response to loop diuretic and uNGAL together were associated with postoperative day 2-4 CS-AKI. The authors demonstrate, as in previous work, that an early rise in uNGAL after CPB is associated with non-transient, clinically significant AKI, although in the study , the authors measure uNGAL much later than in prior reports .
