SUMMARY
Approximately a decade down the line, cisplatin became the world-renown first platinum-based cancer drug in the medical field. Cisplatin was then modified to give a variety of platinum-based drugs, which were also anti-cancer agents. A thorough study of platinum-derived anti-cancer drugs was feasible due to a rapid nanotechnology development.
