In a COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy survey performed in 2021 in 23 countries with nationally representative samples of 1000 people for each one, vaccine hesitancy across all countries was associated with a lack of trust in COVID-19 vaccine safety and science and with a scepticism about its efficacy.
