Fungi use plants as carbon and nitrogen sources, which are crucial for the growth and development of plants themselves. Therefore, the nutritional status of rice determines the resistance of rice to ShB disease. Next, the effects of two plant nutrients, sugar and nitrogen, on rice ShB resistance are summarized.
