Pyrolysis of açai stems (euterpe oleracea mart.) and cocoa husks (theobroma cacao l.) residues for the generation of added-value products in rural areas

• What: The main reason behind this behavior lies in the high ash content of açai stems (up to 32%), as mentioned above higher ash content promotes higher gas yields . It can be noticed that the overall oil composition is primarily based on oxygenated compounds (sugars, ketones, alcohols, and others); this is the main reason behind the acidic pH and the highly reactive nature of bio-oils .
