    Qualitative longitudinal research (QLR; also called longitudinal qualitative research, LQR) has been developed to focus on subjective experiences of time or change using qualitative data materials (e_g, interviews, observations and/or text documents) collected across a time span with the same participants and/or in the same setting. Tuthill et_al concluded that some of the confusion might have arisen from the diversity of data collection methods and data materials used within QLR research.
