HIGHLIGHTS
- What: The aim of this study was to assess the quality of CBT for depression and anxiety disorders in routine, psychiatric care in Stockholm, Sweden. The authors aimed to create a measure of non-protocol-specific CBT for various diagnoses, assessing a broad range of techniques and procedures, and rated on an ordinal scale (rather than a dichotomous adherent/non-adherent). This study demonstrated that high-quality CBT can be delivered within routine psychiatric care to clinically representative patients by competent therapists adhering to CBT principles to achieve the expected patient outcomes.
