Radiation induces irak1 expression to promote radioresistance by suppressing autophagic cell death via decreasing the ubiquitination of prdx1 in glioma cells

HIGHLIGHTS

SUMMARY

The authors revealed that radiation remarkably induces IRAK1 expression and IRAK1 inhibition sensitizes glioma cells to radiation both in_vitro and in_vivo. Beads were sufficiently washed with lysis buffer and boiled in SDS loading buffer for detecting the bound protein in_vitro using western blotting assay. Overexpression of PRDX1 reverses the radiosensitivity resulting from IRAK1 depletion in_vitro To validate whether knockdown of IRAK1 downregulates PRDX1 and thus exerts a radiosensitive effect, the authors performed a series of rescue experiments. Taken together, these results suggested that IRAK1 promotes the radioresistance of glioma cells by PRDX1-mediated suppression . . .
