Ragc gtpase regulates mtor to promote chemoresistance in senescence-like hepg2 cells

HIGHLIGHTS

  • who: GTPase and collaborators from the Gazi University, Turkey have published the article: RagC GTPase regulates mTOR to promote chemoresistance in senescence-like HepG2 cells, in the Journal: (JOURNAL)
  • what: The authors aimed to characterize the roles of small GTPase activators of mTOR including RagC, Rab1A, Rab5, and Arf1 in senescence-like hepatoma cell line HepG2. As RagC and Rheb are known to function in the same pathway for AA sensing (Groenewoud and Zwartkruis, 2013), the authors focused only on RagC. The study has important implications in developing better strategies for liver cancer treatments.
