Re-conceptualizing financial literacy in china`s higher education: an exploratory qualitative study

HIGHLIGHTS

  • What: Using a qualitative research design, this study seeks to answer the following research questions: RQ 1) What do Chinese university students perceive as important aspects of financial literacy and the corresponding skills required? The findings of this study provide valuable insights into the multifaceted nature of financial literacy among Chinese university students, emphasizing the importance of both knowledge and attitude in shaping financial behaviors. Other skills identified in the study, such as consumer rights and protection and digital financial literacy, can be considered emerging financial literacy skills.
