The mainstream neoliberal approach so often entrenched in practices of adaptive (co)management of social-ecological systems serves to systemically commodify and undermine the complex and vital web of relationships that constitute them (e_g, Castree, 2008; Fletcher, Dressler and amp; Büscher, 2015; Kenis and amp; Lievens, 2015).
