- what: The aim of this research was to assess the combustor`s primary zone configuration and four configurations were tested to obtain experimental answers for use in future work. The main reason for selection of four primary zone configurations was that no exact method is available to predict the amount of air that passes from the primary holes to the primary zone, particularly in the presence of the swirler.
