- What: This work shows the use of a ring resonator compatible with input powers of up to 1 MW with a gain of 36. The authors investigate the output pulse theoretically by developing an algorithm using the LDSS physics to successfully reproduce the output pulse shape. The authors investigate how the output pulse shape evolves with laser energy, before finally investigating the energy efficiency of the experiment. The authors show the experimentally measured values at 110 GHz of the reflectance, transmittance, and absorptance of the switch in Fig 6a measured using techniques described.
