    Neuroimaging has been widely used to observe brain alterations in patients with dysmenorrhea, and studies have shown that patients with PD have a particular alteration in the density of functional connectivity in brain networks associated with pain. Tere is a lack of reviews to summarize the central mechanisms of acupuncture for PD and to assess the brain alterations in people with PD under acupuncture intervention.
