Willemijn Wilms Floet, an architecture scholar at Delft University of Technology, wrote Urban Oases Dutch Hofjes as Hidden Architectural Gems to explore the sustainable manifestation of the hofje. The author looked them up on historical maps-as it turned out, many hofjes did not survive the test of time - and re-mapped them.
