- who: Luz Boyero from the Leaf litter was collected from the riparian woody vegetation of , streams, located at latitudes between, u00b0N and, u00b0S (Fig3). All streams drained forested catchments with little human influence. The riparian vegetation was representative of the locality, with at least, % canopy cover (Supplementary Table, ). We collected freshly fallen leaves from several species along each stream, to reflect the composition of leaves most commonly found in the streams. Leaves were collected from nets or from the forest floor just after abscission, so they had the same characteristics as leaves falling into the stream have . . .
