Risk of instagram dieting trends on eating behaviour and body satisfaction in women of different age and body mass index

  • What: The authors examined the risk of exposure to Instagram content from #cleaneating and #whatieatinaday, and #nature as control, on eating attitudes and body image in women of a wide range of age and body mass index (BMI). The authors aimed for a sample size of at least 192 across all three conditions, where α=0.05 (Faul et_al, 2009). After completion of these procedures and experimental questionnaire, participants were redirected to a debrief page which explained both the actual research objectives and any deception that they had been placed under. Participants were "partially blinded" to the study . . .
