SUMMARY
The incidence of papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) is rapidly increasing worldwide, due to the increase in differentiated thyroid carcinoma (DTC), probably related to the widespread utilization of high-resolution ultrasound (US) and fine-needle cytology (FNC). From January 2014 to December 2021, 874 patients were referred to the center for thyroid disease, and 385 presented a preoperative diagnosis of Thyr 3A and Thyr 3B.
