  • What: This study investigates the synthesis of alkylmethylimidazolium salts by the co-heating of haloalkanes and 1-methylimidazole highlighting the role of ILs in green chemistry particularly in the electrodeposition of metals. The aim of this research is to explore the impact of ILs on the electrodeposition process aiming to develop environmentally friendly and efficient metal deposition methods. The asymmetry of the substituent makes it difficult for the ions to stack in a regular manner and form crystals, which is the primary reason for their low melting point .
