From 1991 to 1996, the authors have participated in the investigation of the freshwater planktic cyanobacteria from eutrophic water reservoirs of São Paulo State, southeastern (SE) Brazil. Concerning the chroococcal cyanobacterial species were published in previous studies (Azevedo et_al 2003, Sant'Anna et_al 2004, Senna et_al 1998).
