SUMMARY
Data on sea ice in the open sea were collected by ice-breakers and sea fishing vessels, the earliest data being from 1909. Satellite data can provide much information about 3 of 16 sea ice because of the high spatial and temporal resolution important for understanding sea-ice dynamics. There is a large amount of satellite data on the sea-ice concentration in the White Sea; in particular, NASA (https://www.nasa.gov/, accessed on 2 June 2022) has collected a lot of data on various seas, including the White Sea, using the MODIS . . .
