    The use of in situ 10 Be concentrations measured in river sediments to quantify catchment-wide denudation rates over centennial to millennial timescale is now well-established (e_g Brown et_al, 1995; Granger et_al, 1996; Bierman and Steig, 1996; Granger and Schaller, 2014).
