SUMMARY
Cyber-physical systems (CPSs) like autonomous vehicles and UAVs can be capable of making decisions and operating independently by generally combining sensor networks with embedded computing to monitor and control the physical environment. This requires reliable and low-latency real-time data exchange. Data Distribution Service (DDS), which is also a middleware that enables reliable, high-performance, real-time data exchange using a publish-subscribe pattern among these cyberphysical systems.
