- What: The authors focused on adult lung cancer patients and compared the efficacy of DL algorithms and expert radiologists in disease diagnosis on CT scans. Subgroup analysis was conducted to determine the effects of the study region, software used, and publication year on the performance of DL algorithms and human experts in malignancy classification on CT scans. Most of the studies were cohort studies, except one case-control study and one study that retrospectively analyzed data from a randomized controlled trial.
