SUMMARY
Although neoadjuvant therapy and postoperative chemotherapy had been demonstrated to reduce the risk of tumor recurrence and death, surgery remains the main treatment for patients with potentially curable colon cancer. Compared with open surgery, laparoscopic surgery has achieved similar oncological outcomes in colon cancer or left-sided colon cancer.
