SUMMARY
Chaliand and Rageau justify the label diaspora saying they "have not sought to make a sharp distinction between ‘authentic` diasporas and those whose status may be disputed".3 This classification seems quite arbitraty, since calling the Jewish diaspora authentic gives the idea that other groups` experiences are imperfect copies of an original, unattainable and fixed paradigm. Other views of diaspora acknowledge the Jewish experience, but they also give room to other types . . .
