HIGHLIGHTS
- What: This study implements rigorous statistical analysis to examine gender-based differences in performance trends, comparing the progression trajectories, performance peaks, and plateaus of male and female swimmers across multiple Olympic cycles. The performance of gender of this study shows that men and women gain similar progression trends in each stroke and distance from 2012 to the 2024 Olympics . While this study provides important insights, it is not without limitations.
