When analyzing the antibiotic resistance profiles before and after the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the authors found similar resistance rates, the only significant differences being in the case of gentamicin, with a decreased resistance, from 82.6% to 52.5% (p=0.001), and in the case of ceftazidime + avibactam (CAZ-AVI), which presented a higher resistance, from 53.8% to 75.8% (p=0.049).
