- What: The aim of this study is to provide evidence of the benefits of using oxygen for Nitinol laser cutting, with a goal of minimizing the potential thermal damage. The study aimed to determine the difference between assist gas types used during Nitinol laser cutting and explore the possibility of achieving high cut rates. This study showed that higher cut rates were attainable, and an interesting result was found.
