The effect of sand-crumb rubber mixture treatment on the seismic response of a low-rise building located on liquefiable soil

HIGHLIGHTS

  • What: This study demonstrated that the GSI-RSM system improves slab-foundation horizontal and rotational responses. This research examines how the dense layer of sand-crumb rubber with varied thicknesses affects the seismic behavior of the building on the smooth base during three near-field and three far-field earthquakes. This study investigate that the dilation angle was nearly equal to zero when the layer of loose sand was considered . The authors examine the results of the direct cyclic shear test of_[21] for sand- crumb rubber mixture with different rubber ratios.
