    Over a decade ago David Owen and Jonathan Davidson proposed a new kind of personality disorder, which may be acquired by successful political leaders exactly because of their success: the hubris syndrome (HS). Akstinaite et_al confirmed that personal pronouns, and specifically the use of "we", is a strong and diagnostic marker of hubristic language; whereas narcissism, a closely related personality disorder, has been found to correlate with the second person pronoun "you", and not with "we". Instead of analysing spoken utterances of interviews (e_g,), the authors used parliamentary speeches because this allowed the authors . . .
