SUMMARY
Within the SMN complex, the SMN protein and Gemin2 act as a functional core, responsible for Sm protein binding, which forces the transfer of the Sm proteins onto the Sm site of the snRNA and thus the formation of a core snRNP. The work presents here the important role of the Gemin2 protein within this pathway as interacting with core components of the SMN complex. Here research has identified Gemin2 as binding the pentamer of Sm the important role of the Gemin2 protein within this complex. (E) Endogenous immunopurification studies revealed that Gemin2 and p70S6K interact in_vivo . . .
