- What: This study explores the correlation between geopolitical tensions and the surge in EV sales in China. This study attempts to address the following questions: How does the Russia-Ukraine conflict affect electric vehicle sales growth in China? This study shows that, contrary to initial expectations, the Russia-Ukraine conflict contributed to a surge in EV sales due to increased consumer awareness of energy security, rising fuel prices, and supportive government policies.
