    Fierce debates have centered on the notion that a "glacial erosion buzz-saw" limits the total height and relief of mountain ranges (Brozović et_al, 1997; Egholm et_al, 2009; Thomson et_al, 2010; Cunningham et_al, 2019), but even the pro- ponents of this idea generally assume that the influence of glacial erosion fades below the ELA (Prasicek et_al, 2018).
