- What: The authors focused on a particular problem-framing challenge through a case study of the Patient-Centric Engineering in Rehabilitation (PACER) project, which aimed to improve rehabilitation for lower limb prosthetic users. The authors focused on different disciplinary framing practices with regard to including patient experience in an engineering and design project. Through this study, the authors therefore sought to answer the research question: How does frame reflection influence interdisciplinary collaboration in the early stages of the design and development of rehabilitation technologies?
