    The authors decided to focus on a group of chronically ill people-oncology patients. A retrospective study by Zhang et_al including cancer patients with COVID-19 from three hospitals in Wuhan, China, demonstrated the unique susceptibility of this group to infection with the new coronavirus. The authors aimed to estimate the level of general and COVID-19 anxiety among oncology patients. The research hypothesis was that cancer patients represent a group at increased risk of having anxiety disorders, including COVID-19 anxiety.
