- what: The studies indicate the MGB axis as a complementary target for treating obesity due to its direct participation in controlling food satiety, macronutrient absorption, and inflammatory processes . The above conclusions have been drawn from different clinical studies and, in several cases using animal models, as there is still no study aiming to combine all the MGB axis elements.
