The mrna nuclear export factor hpr1 is regulated by rsp5-mediated ubiquitylation*

HIGHLIGHTS

  • who: Carole Gwizdek from the (UNIVERSITY) have published the research: The mRNA Nuclear Export Factor Hpr1 Is Regulated by Rsp5-mediated Ubiquitylation*, in the Journal: (JOURNAL) of January/28,/2005
  • what: Using in_vivo and in_vitro approaches the authors demonstrate that Rsp5p is responsible for the ubiquitylation of Hpr1p that also involves the ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme Ubc4p. The authors show that the THO complex component Hpr1p is ubiquitylated and degraded both in_vitro and in_vivo by Rsp5p in conjunction with the E1 and Ubc4p as an E2.
