  • What: The editorial history of this article is available here: This research examines how anchoring bias affects managers` multi-dimensional evaluations of supplier performance supplier selection and the effectiveness of two debiasing techniques. The authors examine the likelihood that a supplier`s past evaluation of one dimension may also affect subsequent assessments of the same supplier performance in other dimensions. The second objective of this research is to investigate two low-cost debiasing techniques that may be adopted in small and medium enterprises. This study examines two different debiasing techniques, ‘consider-the-opposite` and ‘mental-mapping`.
