  • what: Using Nicotiana benthamiana as heterologous system the authors show that ZBED localizes in the nucleus binds DNA and triggers basal immunity. The authors demonstrate that it is possible to provide disease resistance and resistance simultaneously. One last important result of the work is that the authors show that the disease resistance conferred by ZBED is still functional . . .
