The role of cognition in dishonest behavior

SUMMARY

    Despite the extensive evidence of cognition mediating dishonest behavior, a consensus on how cognition modulates dishonesty is still lacking in the literature. While the authors will cite some of those works in this review in the need to understand how cognition mediates dishonesty, the aim was not to describe the cerebral structures and circuits involved in dishonesty but to explore and understand how cognitive processes mediate different types of dishonest behavior. The authors will review some work on dishonesty and creativity, as well as other work reviewing the role of language in interestin work . . .
