The role of employees of the national safety authority in the supervision of safety management systems in rail transport

HIGHLIGHTS

• What: All the studies discussed above focused on the situation within business entities. This article describes the results of a project implemented in cooperation with the NSA, which supervises all entities operating in the rail market in one of the EU Member States. The study described in this article concerned the professional identities of inspectors employed in seven local branches of the NSA. The introductory interview aimed to inform the participants of the study about its purpose.
