The role of uncertain reward in voluntary task-switching as revealed by pupillometry and gaze

HIGHLIGHTS

  • What: The aim of this study was to examine the role of uncertain reward in VTS paradigm. The authors conducted experiments in voluntary task-switching paradigm under deterministic reward (Experiment 1) and probabilistic reward (Experiment 2). This study examined gaze and pupil data in separate analysis pipelines. The authors investigated the role of uncertain reward as compared to deterministic reward, as revealed by pupillometry and gaze; the authors present findings from two separate experiments where the primary difference is the reward schedule.
  • Who: Juan Balcazar and colleagues from the AandM University1, A and M Institute . . .
