SUMMARY
A continually growing body of evidence now exists highlighting the complex and wide-ranging functions of EVs in many physiological and regenerative processes including stem_cell maintenance, tissue repair and immune modulation. To date, the majority of published outcomes have been observed through the delivery of mesenchymal stem_cell-derived EVs (MSC-EVs), with this cell source offering benefits in the translation of EV therapies due to their immunoregulatory effects and ability to be sourced allo geneically.
