  • What: This work examines the universal role of adaptive transcription as a mechanism for the induction of cell state transitions in health and disease and explores how some of humanity`s gravest disorders can be seen as adaptive logic errors. Adaptive transcriptional programs seem to possess a core program that is activated similarly in nearly all cell types and under most circumstances and a directional program that determines the direction and goal state of cellular reprogramming.
