Lagrangian vortex particle methods (VPM) are a powerful tool for numerical simulation in number of applications: from flow modeling for animations (e_g, 3D smokes ) to industrial aerodynamics problems solving, including averaged and unsteady hydrodynamical loads estimation for various structures, vortex wakes simulation, hydroelastic oscillations simulation of structural elements which interact with the flow-Fluid-Structure Interaction problems (FSI). The range of the problems where traditional modifications of vortex methods are applicable is limited by the flow regimes with low subsonic Mach numbers, when the influence of flow compressibility can be neglected.
