- what: The authors report a novel PanNET mouse model where TS overexpression cooperates with Men1 inactivation in pancreatic islet cells. The authors show that reduction of TS levels in human neuroendocrine tumor cell line downregulates p21Cip1 levels and reduces tumor cell proliferation. Consistent with this model the authors also demonstrated increased somatic mutations with hTS overexpression in hTS/Men1-/-/BB mouse models that contained a CII reporter gene . . .
