HIGHLIGHTS

  • What: The aim of the study was to determine whether the risk for maternal and neonatal adverse outcome is affected by the time of delivery in a high-volume center, where senior obstetricians and anesthesiologists are always present on the labor floor regardless of the time of day. This study has several limitations well worth noting. As in other large cohort studies, some of the associations found in the study have modest RR values and should be considered cautiously according to their clinical relevance .
